Junior Packaging Designer in the Bodywear & Hosiery division of HUGO BOSS in Ticino. Packaging, trimmings and labels built on the Corporate Guidelines, technical briefs for suppliers, approvals, PLM/BOM and quality documentation, and research into more sustainable packaging.

The 3D design task I completed during the selection process for the role: a sliding gift box for four pairs of socks. The lid is a sleeve die-cut with the BOSS monogram, so the colours of the socks appear through the logo itself; the tray slides out thanks to a thumb notch on each side of the sleeve.

Flat patterns of the cover and the inside tray.

Layout proposals for the two-pack woven boxer shorts box, built on the die-cut template: front with the monogram pattern, BOSS stripes on the side panels, a window, and a back panel with bilingual product copy (EN/FR), care symbols, a sustainability statement and a QR code. Five colour and graphic options on the same structure.

Christmas capsules are planned well ahead of the season, so I worked on two consecutive collections: Christmas 2023, where I focused on quality control and layout, and Christmas 2024, where I handled the layout.
The red HUGO box comes in formats for three, four and five pairs and in a version for women's underwear; I did the layout for the whole family, adapting the graphics to each format and assortment. The black BOSS box with a window comes in several colourways and sizes.

Outside the Christmas capsules I worked on everyday packaging for the BOSS and HUGO lines: overcards and hang tags for socks, a paper band for a six-pack, and gift boxes for socks, underwear and nightwear. I followed these pieces through the whole process, from layout and supplier briefing to approval, production and quality control.
